Clinical Pilates
Strength that supports your body.
Clinical Pilates is a one-on-one, mat-based Pilates session led by a registered physiotherapist. You’ll receive a full Pilates workout that is thoughtfully designed and tailored to your body, goals, and movement needs. Sessions combine Pilates principles with physiotherapy assessment, hands-on cueing, and clinical reasoning to support safe, effective movement.
Clinical Pilates may be a good fit for individuals who:
Want a guided return to exercise or sport
Are pregnant or postpartum
Have persistent or recurrent pain
Have postural or musculoskeletal concerns (e.g., back, neck, shoulder, or hip pain)
Have chronic conditions affecting movement, such as mild arthritis or mobility limitations
Want to improve core or pelvic strength and stability under professional guidance
Prefer individualized Pilates instruction due to previous injury, recent surgery, or other medical considerations
Want Pilates exercise that supports rehabilitation, injury prevention, and long-term movement health
Are looking to build strength, stability, mobility, and coordination in a safe, progressive way
Clinical Pilates is suitable for both beginners and those familiar with Pilates. Exercises are adapted in real time based on assessment and how your body responds during each session.
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily, and bring socks and a water bottle. Clinical Pilates is delivered under Physiotherapy and may be eligible for coverage through extended health benefits.
